x LE CARTEL
Ivan Peev, a multidisciplinary artist based in Paris, navigates a creative spectrum combining music, gastronomy, fashion, and journalism, thus composing a true kaleidoscope of artistic expression.
His constant search for innovative ideas and concepts is manifested through a range of messages oscillating between irony, critique, and humor, brought to life through an incessant exploration of various mediums, from digital to painting, not to mention watercolor.
For nearly a decade, he has brought to life the world of Travis and Mina, two characters of his own creation, who serve as emblems of equality, love, and friendship. Through them, Ivan develops a visual language vibrant with color and emotion, while also knowing how to embrace a more serious and realistic approach for specific projects such as exhibitions or collaborations with renowned brands. Deeply personalized and humanized, Travis and Mina serve as a bridge between the imaginary and the concrete. Influenced from childhood by the visual world of skateboarding and music, with figures such as Jimbo Phillips, Sean Cliver, and Mark Gonzalez, Ivan organized his first exhibition at 16, a decisive moment that confirmed his aspiration to become an artist.
Rick Rubin, an iconic figure in global music production, represents a major source of inspiration for Ivan, who is particularly moved by Rubin’s poetic, emotional, and serene approach. Sharing a common repulsion for complacency and comfort, Ivan and Rubin are driven by an incessant quest for new challenges and forms of expression.
Over the years, thanks to an unwavering passion, Ivan Peev has collaborated with prestigious brands such as Levi’s, Nike, Undiz, Adidas, Spotify, BackMarket, Daroco, Warner Music France, among others, testifying to the breadth of his creativity and artistic dedication.
Ivan is collaborating for the first time with LE CARTEL in 2024 as part of the collective textile exhibition “Paris est une fête”.
